My Dad loves crosswords, old western movies and a good sing along. As a family, we did those things together often as young kids but as life changes and families grow apart and in different directions, those things sometimes get lost. Dad kept them up though with his pals at the bowls club, but as they started to dwindle in numbers and health problems set in, those days also became less frequent. Dad moved to Banksia Care 8 years ago and is now 95. I think he’s the first to grab the daily paper to do the crossword and regularly cons the staff in picking a western for movie night. I know he’s the loudest in the regular sing alongs. Thanks Banksia Care for allowing my gorgeous Dad all his favourite things.
